A Shared Language for Reading Takes Root at a Massachusetts University

For years, Dr. Laura Garofoli and her colleagues at Fitchburg State University have used Reading Apprenticeship® to help faculty across disciplines reveal the thinking processes behind expert reading.

By creating a shared language for reading, thinking, and learning, faculty are helping students build the confidence and strategies needed to engage with challenging texts and participate more fully in academic life.
